Job description

The horticulture supervisor is one of three full-time, year-round employees of Friends of the High Line and an integral part of Friends of the High Line’s Park Operations team. Under the general supervision of Friends of the High Line’s director of horticulture and the vice president of operations, the horticulture supervisor is the on-site point person for the High Line horticulture staff. Working interactively with a team of gardeners, the horticulture supervisor’s responsibilities include all aspects of monitoring, caring for, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the High Line’s unique landscape and gardens. Additionally, this position takes a proactive approach to department and organization-wide matters. Through mentoring and role modeling, the horticulture supervisor also provides leadership to fellow colleagues and is an ambassador of Friends of the High Line.
